GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE PROVISION OF DENTAL SERVICES, PAYMENTS AND REFUNDS
These General Terms and Conditions govern the rules for the provision of dental services, payments, cancellation of scheduled appointments, refunds, subsequent corrections, and preventive maintenance at Somi Clinic.
1. Prices and Payment
The prices of dental services are determined in accordance with the current price list of Somi Clinic.
The final cost of treatment may be determined following an examination and consultation, as it depends on the patient’s individual condition, the procedures required, the materials used, and the selected treatment plan.
Where applicable, the patient will be informed of the estimated cost of treatment before treatment begins.
Payment shall be made in accordance with the terms agreed with Somi Clinic – either as a one-time payment or in pre-agreed instalments or stages in the case of longer-term treatment.
2. Deposits and Advance Payments
For certain procedures, longer appointments, or the fabrication of custom-made restorations and materials, Somi Clinic may require a deposit or advance payment.
The deposit serves to reserve the respective appointment and/or to cover costs incurred by Somi Clinic in connection with the planned treatment.
The specific terms and conditions applicable to the deposit will be communicated to the patient before payment is made.
3. Cancellation or Rescheduling of Appointments
If the patient is unable to attend an appointment, they should notify Somi Clinic as early as possible.
In cases of repeated failure to attend scheduled appointments, last-minute cancellations, or failure to comply with previously agreed conditions, Somi Clinic reserves the right to require advance payment or a deposit for future appointments.
Where a deposit has been paid for a specific appointment, the conditions for its refund or transfer shall be determined in accordance with the terms provided to the patient in advance.
4. Refunds of Amounts Paid
Amounts paid for dental services that have already been provided are generally not automatically refundable solely due to a subsequent change in the patient’s preferences or subjective assessment, provided that the service has been performed in accordance with the agreed treatment plan and applicable professional standards.
Each request for a refund shall be reviewed individually by Somi Clinic, taking into account the type and stage of treatment, the medical services already performed, the materials used, and the costs already incurred.
In the case of prepaid treatment that has not yet commenced or has not been fully completed, any refund shall be determined on an individual basis. Somi Clinic may deduct the cost of services already provided, custom-made products or restorations, materials purchased or used, and other actual expenses incurred, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
These General Terms and Conditions do not limit the patient’s statutory rights.
5. Treatment Results and Individual Factors
The outcome of dental treatment depends on numerous individual factors, including the initial condition of the teeth and gums, anatomical characteristics, oral hygiene, the patient’s habits, and compliance with the recommendations provided by the treating dentist.
Therefore, no specific aesthetic or medical outcome can be guaranteed beyond what is objectively achievable in the individual clinical case.
6. Corrections and Follow-Up Appointments
The need for any subsequent correction shall be assessed by the treating dentist following an examination.
A complimentary correction does not automatically apply to every request for a change to previously completed treatment. Where the requested change is not medically necessary and constitutes a modification of a previously approved result, it may be charged as a new or additional service.
7. Dental Bonding – Maintenance and Subsequent Corrections
Important: To maintain the optimal condition of dental bonding, preventive maintenance at Somi Clinic is recommended every 6–8 months.
Preventive maintenance allows the dentist to assess the condition and surface of the bonding, perform polishing, evaluate the patient’s bite, and determine whether any timely minor corrections are required.
If the recommended 6–8 month maintenance interval is not observed, any subsequent correction required shall be charged as new dental bonding rather than as a correction.
Damage caused by trauma, failure to follow medical recommendations, harmful habits, using the teeth to open objects or bite hard items, or other external factors shall not automatically constitute grounds for a complimentary correction.
8. Custom-Made Dental Restorations and Appliances
For veneers, crowns, bridges, prosthetic restorations, aligners, splints, and other custom-made dental products, treatment involves laboratory work and expenses specific to the individual patient.
Once fabrication has commenced, reimbursement of costs already incurred may be limited in accordance with applicable law.
If the patient chooses to discontinue treatment after laboratory work has commenced, any amounts due shall be determined based on the medical and laboratory work already performed.
9. Patient Responsibilities
The patient is required to provide accurate and up-to-date information regarding their health condition, medications, allergies, and any other circumstances that may be relevant to treatment.
The patient should follow all instructions provided regarding home care, oral hygiene, follow-up examinations, and preventive maintenance.
Failure to comply with medical recommendations may affect the outcome and longevity of the treatment provided.
10. Amendments to the General Terms and Conditions
Somi Clinic may periodically update these General Terms and Conditions in the event of changes to the services offered, the price list, or applicable legislation.
The current version of these General Terms and Conditions shall be published on the Somi Clinic website.
